We are so excited to have you on our team playing an important role in creating a new world tournament! Things are moving fast, and we expect The East West Cup to begin taking volunteer requests soon. If you are interested, look over the information on this page and fill in your name and email on the form below and we will contact you soon.
This volunteer is responsible for working with another volunteer to follow a group during the competition to track hole-by-hole scoring for that group. Although the volunteer scoring is unofficial, the scores kept by the On-course Scoring volunteer are reported to the scoring stations and then relayed to the scoring website. Responsibilities also include: controlling patron noise, camera and cell phone usage, and helping the pro groups radio to rules officials if they require a Arizona Golf Association official ruling. Marshals will be needed for the tournament rounds on Thursday December 14th, Friday December 15th, and Saturday December 16th.
On-course scoring volunteers will need to be available for maximum of 2 days, a full shift would start with reporting to the course an hour before your assigned group tee time until completion of play by that group. Every effort will be made to have a golf cart available for each volunteer team.
This committee is responsible for keeping supplies on the course restocked, monitoring player and corporate guest amenities, and on course signage and infrastructure. This position requires minimal walking or standing, but physical strength is needed to lift bags of ice, water, etc.
Volunteers are needed during the entirety of the competition day. Because of this time commitment, there will be shifts available during the day. Please indicate a time frame you could work if you cannot work an entire day. A cart will be provided.
Volunteers are needed to check in the pros as they arrive to the course. Duties include checking in each player on a spreadsheet, directing players to their cart or locker areas, giving out tee prizes, and alerting the tournament staff if players have not reported for play in a timely manner.
Shifts will be 9:00am to 2:00pm.
This volunteer will assist in the many clubhouse and on-course hospitality functions of the event including: sponsor, contestant, and guest relations. Volunteers should possess an outgoing and vibrant personality. Corporate and player hospitality areas have restricted access, so each volunteer will also need to monitor the appropriate credentials needed for each area.
Hospitality Volunteers are needed starting at 11:00am to end of play.
All volunteers must wear appropriate golf clothing while working during the tournament. Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes; some type of tennis sneaker-type shoe is best – golf shoes are acceptable. However, if you wear golf shoes, they must have soft spikes.
All volunteers are encouraged to park in general parking.
Food and drinks will be available in the volunteer area, and you are welcome to any food or water on the course. In addition, the tournament will provide coffee and rolls in the morning, and a box lunch for any volunteer working that day.
Please remember that volunteers are one of the most important entities of the Fore Champions and you are the face of the tournament for players, caddies, and spectators. When working at the tournament, please keep the following things in mind while fulfilling your volunteer duties:
- Treat all players, patrons, fans, employees, and fellow volunteers with courtesy and respect.
- Abide by all Tournament policies and procedures.
- Be punctual.
- Complete all shifts and tasks as assigned by your Committee Leader.
- We request that you never ask for a player or celebrity autograph while on duty.
- Please be courteous, yet firm, when advising patrons of safety and security procedures. Seek assistance from security if a patron becomes unruly.
- No alcoholic beverages are to be consumed while on your shift.
